Após a primeira temporada, Danny O’Donoghue e sua banda The Script lançaram single com Will.i.am.
Parabéns a você e Georgia!
Beijos.

How was the experience of being a coach on The Voice Kids? Were you a fan of the show before?
Danny: I was a fan of the show before, I actually asked if i could do it. ? I’ve loved every minute of it, to get the chance to uncover unseen talent in these kids was ace. And then to go on to mentor them toward what they wanted to achieve is a great thing and I’ve actually learnt a lot from these kids.
Some websites have been naming you as a replacement for Gavin Rossdale in The Voice UK. Is this true? Would you like to be a coach on the adults version of the show?
Danny: I’m flattered to see the rumours, but at the moment I’m on the voice kids and I love it. But I’m a huge fan of the adult voice show.
We’ve seen many The Voice coaches doing collaborations after the show’s over, not only in the US, but also in the UK. After the first season, Danny O’Donoghue and his band The Script released a single featuring Will.i.am. Any chance we can see you and one of Voice coaches working together in the future?
Danny: I would defiantly work with them. I think collaborating is so important for the industry and should happen more. It’s fun and it brings different sets of fans together.
Speaking of making music, you’ve mention in a previous interview that you and your band McFly have been trying to work out where you fit in the charts nowadays. On releasing a new dance single “Rain” for their new album, The Script members have said bands need to adapt or die. Do you agree with this declaration? How do you see the future of McFly in that scenario?
Danny: Interesting, I kinda agree but at the same time you have to believe in what you do and dare to be different. Its not about looking to see what others are doing and copying, its about looking at others to see what they are doing and working out why its successful and then looking back at yourself and seeing what you can add to your toolbox.
14 years of McFly were celebrated this week. And after so many years, you still have a lot of fans asking for new music. Brazilian fansite McFly Wonderland has been there supporting and promoting you from the beginning. What were your favorite moments with the band in all these years?
Danny: Mcfly has had huge impact on my life, it’s what I am and I love do it with the boys. We have so much fun and especially when we visit Brazil. Brazil is close to our hearts as a band and i really hope we can come out there soon when we get an album together to see the fans and play some shows, the fans in Brazil are so passionate and loyal and we thank them for that. Fingers crossed we can see you all soon.
We need to ask this, as so many fans have been asking us the same thing and we don’t have an answer: is album 6 on the way or do we have to wait a little more for that?
Danny: You may have to wait a little while but we are planning to work on it asap. Good things come to those who wait. We have been doing other things for a year or two and now I think it’s the right time to start getting our heads back in the game and create an album that will again withstand the test of time and get fans super excited. It’s been 14 years and we need to now look into the future and what we wanna achieve for the next 14 years. Again our fans are so important in this process and we are very lucky to have fans that are so loyal and patient and still crave new music, we just want to get it right for the fans but still be relevant in the charts.
How do you think your experience as a DJ and producer will contribute on the next McFly album?
Danny: Djing is just hobbie for me, it still blows me to do music but its an escape from what i do everyday.
Producing I am very passionate about, I love starting a blank and creating something from your mind to something that sounds like a record. It helps massively when it comes down to creating an album when me & tom gets ouheads down in a studio there is no stopping us.
Let’s talk about fatherhood. Congratulations to you and Georgia! You’ve said you have been training a lot with Buzz, Buddy and Lola. How is the expectation now that you’re close to be a father yourself?
Danny: It’s an amazing feeling, I already have so much love for the baby and all I can see is Georgia’s bump.
Lastly, thank you for taking your time to speak with us. Could you leave a message to your Brazilian fans who read our site?
Danny: Brazilian fans we love you and thank you for your amazing passion and dedication to our band. Brazil is one of our favourite places to play as you guys make us feel so welcome and we have crazy shows over there. I really hope we can come back soon. x
